BUGATTI BONSU BIO

Toronto, ON – Ghanaian Canadian recording artist, songwriter and entrepreneur Bugatti Bonsu began his musical journey following the passing of his brother. Bugatti had a passion for music his whole and even began writing songs at the young age of 10 years old. However, fear kept him from turning his dream of making music into a reality. It was the death of his brother that gave him the courage to move forward. This inspired his debut 2016 EP titled “No Fear” and his debut clothing brand “No Fear Movement”. Bugatti’s “No Fear Movement” clothing brand which was initially promo for his EP started to see much success and was even a part of its first fashion show “Off The Runway” in early 2018 in Toronto.

Bugatti Bonsu introduced the world to his new Afro-Pop sound in 2019 with his hit single Dolled Up which he worked on very closely with his producer/engineer Tony Range. The video for the hit single premiered on GRM-DAILY; the biggest urban YouTube channel in the UK with millions of subscribers. The video was also shot by UK video director Flash Johnson who then shared on social media that since pushing his London x Canada crossover, Bugatti is only the second Canadian act who he has worked with to have their video featured on the UK platform.

Bugatti Bonsu became known for his genre-bending sound which infuses elements of Afro-beats, Dancehall, Reggaeton, R&B and more. This sound was showcased on his sophomore 2021 EP titled “Ladies Love”. The 7-track release was well received by fans and critics alike and featured big appearances by Dbx2, Twy, Fame Holiday, Looch Bodega, Phab, Chux Starr, Nina Ricchie and Slim Flex. Bonsu’s creation of his unique sound has allowed him to stand out in the competitive Toronto music scene. ‘Ladies Love’ is a perfect display of Bugatti in his creative power. Full of afro-island inspired sounds and alluring vocals, the project indicates just how bright Bugatti’s future is.

Following the success of his second EP ‘Ladies Love’ Bonsu’s popularity continued to rise. With big hits off the project such as ‘Dolled Up’, ‘Catch A Vibe’, ‘Go Go Gyal’, and ‘Touch It’, Bonsu is showing no signs of slowing down. Bonsu recently released his latest hit single “Glow Up” featuring Toronto female rapper, Keesh in April 2022 followed by the visuals in July 2022. This single became Bugatti’s biggest song to date reaching over 100,000 streams and views and has been blowing up the radio airwaves currently on heavy rotation with Toronto’s R&B & Hip-Hop radio station Flow 98.7FM.
